I purchased the 1990 YJ in August 2008 and it had already been lifted 4 inches and outfitted with chrome rims and 33x12.50x15” Wild Country Tires from Les Schwab Tires.
Over the last six months I’ve upgraded and replaced the following:
Interior:
o Beware Dog Owners! The seats are comfortable and bolted right in, but they get covered in dog hair really easily and it’s extremely hard to vacuum out.
o Nice fit and looks good.
· Removed Carpet and painted interior with Herculiner
o Solid and very secure
Exterior:
o Bolted right up and looks great.
o Nice and bright while looking good off too.
· Winch (I traded a Zune for it)
o So far I haven’t had to use it and hopefully it works great when I do.
Engine:
· Replaced belt driven fan with an electric fan
o I don’t remember what brand I used, but I paid around $100 dollars for it and it was super easy to install.
· Removed all of the emissions garbage
· Radiator, Water Pump, Thermostat and all Radiator and Heater Hoses
· CRT PERFORMANCE IGNITION, Including spark plugs and wires
Running Gear:
· Front & Rear Yukon 411 Gears
· Superior Super 30 ARB Front Axle Kit
· Superior Dana 35 C-Clip Eliminator Rear Axle Kit
o I had all of the differential work done at Olympic 4x4 in Snohomish Washington, except for installing the compressor and air lines and I did that myself.
